Tonight on Adult Swim at midnight, you might want to catch what could be the weirdest, darkest comedy special you've seen in quite some time, Dinner with Friends with Brett Gelman and Friends. The plot: Comedian/podcaster Gelman invites some of his Hollywood friends—including Alex Karpovsky (Girls), Gilbert Gottfried, Alison Pill (The Newsroom), Lance Reddick (The Wire), and more—to his house for dinner. It starts off genial enough, with plenty of My Dinner with Andre-like banter... but then? THINGS GET DARK AND STRANGE. And probably a little Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?-ish.
