I'm not ready to proclaim that everything Louis C.K. does is the lemon-scented jizz from a sparkly unicorn... but when he nails it? He fucking nails it. Though only three episodes in, the newest season of Louie on FX has already been a bit hit and miss— either too reminiscent of Curb Your Enthusiasm, meandering and eventually dropped plotlines, or funny bits that defy realism... but Monday's episode "So Did the Fat Lady" was a perfect example of Louis drilling down deep into a very human foible—and while he doesn't solve it, he sheds an incredible amount of beautiful light upon it. Be a good person, and check out this scene. (Sarah Baker is so good in this.)
