One thing I miss from classic TV shows of the '60s and '70s are the actors that just FUCKING GO FOR IT. Like Paul Lynde in Bewitched, Don Knotts in The Andy Griffith Show, and Jonathan Harris as the evil/pitiable/hilarious Dr. Smith in the '60s sci-fi classic Lost in Space.
