For those who are still sweating the unsatisfying death of HBO's cuss-filled western series Deadwood, get ready for some very good news: HBO prez Michael Lombardo has confirmed that he has given series creator David Milch the green light for a Deadwood movie.From TV Line:
“David has our commitment that we are going to do it,” says Lombardo. “He pitched what he thought generally the storyline would be — and knowing David, that could change. But it’s going to happen.”
Yes, BUT WHEN? Lombardo also notes that Milch is currently busy on another project, but will surely turn his attention back to Deadwood when it's done. Of course, then there's the problem of getting back actors who have all gone on to very successful careers, such as Timothy Olyphant, Ian McShane, Ana Gunn, John Hawkes, and more—but one problem at a time, okay?!? All have voiced their undying love for the show, so it's very likely that when the time for shooting comes, Milch will once again have a full boat.
In short? CAN'T FUCKING WAIT. Look! Even Sheriff Bullock is happy about it!
