River of Grass
The acclaimed films of director Kelly Reichardt tell sparse, affecting stories set in the Pacific Northwest—from Old Joy to Meek's Cutoff, from Night Moves to Wendy and Lucy. But Reichardt got her start in Florida with 1994's River of Grass, which has recently been restored and screens tonight at the Hollywood, with Reichardt in attendance for a Q&A. ERIK HENRIKSEN

Andrew Bird, John Grant
Andrew Bird is a one-man symphony: The multi-instrumentalist sings, whistles, and plays violin, guitar, and glockenspiel. He masterfully loops layers upon layers of dense, intricate sounds to create elaborate orchestral pop. Bird's newest record, Are You Serious, experiments with funkier beats, though it's still planted firmly on his indisputably twee foundation. CIARA DOLAN
