GOOD MORNING, BLOGTOWN! I try to phone, but I'm too shy (can't speak). Falling in love is so bitter sweet. This love is strong—why do I feel weak? LET'S GO TO PRESS.
In case you missed it, Portland Police Chief O'Dea has been placed on administrative leave for covering up the fact that he shot his friend while on a camping trip. He neglected to tell a Harney County deputy what had truly happened (saying the friend shot himself while holstering his gun), and while he did inform Mayor Charlie Hales, the mayor kept mum about the incident as well. NOT COOL, GUYS.
The Guardian has picked up the story as well.
In other cover ups, a McMinnville church is being sued for neglecting to tell the state about a girl being sexually abused by her father. The girl eventually contracted herpes.
More trouble for former Governor Kitzhaber: A US Congressional panel has ruled that Kitz and a federal agency mishandled the botched Cover Oregon health enrollment website, saying he made decisions based on his re-election campaign.
A Northeast Portland man was arrested last night after getting into a mobile home shootout with police—no officers or civilians were hurt.
Both Trump and Clinton won the Washington primaries last night—though that means nothing to Trump at this point, and only marginally helps Clinton because Bernie Sanders won the state's delegates back in March.
Meanwhile a violent protest erupts outside of a Trump campaign office in Albuquerque, where demonstrators threw rocks through windows and at police.
An audit conducted by the State Department reveals that Hillary Clinton, along with previous secretaries of state, played it a bit too fast and loose with confidential email communications that were in danger of hacking.
Bernie Sanders'ongoing battle with the chairperson of the DNC, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, are having party leaders discussing whether she should be replaced for throwing more gasoline on a fire that's making them feel increasingly uncomfortable.

Today in REVENGE!!!
Billionaire Silicon Valley investor Peter Thiel is secretly funding lawsuits to financially ruin journalist Nick Denton and his media empire Gawker, according to a new report from Forbes.
Beyonce's husband—a once popular rapper known as "Jay Z"—has (kinda sorta?) responded to the Queen's "Lemonade" in a new Fat Joe song released last night. He doesn't really say anything of interest, so we will return to ignoring him.
Now let's look at the WEATHER up in the sky: Mostly dry today, but cloudy with a high of 64!
And finally, then there was the time that the guy who was test driving a self-driving car was caught sleeping while the vehicle was on auto-pilot. (Which is exactly what I think I would be doing. Because otherwise... what's the point?)
