GOOD MORNING, BLOGTOWN! And if I don't let you know, then I won't be for real. I could be wrong, but I feel like something could be going on. LET'S GO TO PRESS.

A cyclist riding on a southbound lane of I-5 was killed this morning after being struck by a car just south of Ridgefield.

It's wildfire season again, and a 500 acre blaze has broken out that's putting the small town of Unity, Oregon in danger.

Donald Trump stuck his big stupid foot in his big stupid mouth again this weekend, after insulting the grieving parents of a Muslim American soldier who was killed in Iraq. And just about everyone in the world is pissed about it, including John McCain.

More bad news for the GOP (and by association, Trump): State and federal judges have struck down Republican laws that make it harder for young people and blacks to vote.

Billionaire Charles Koch (of the infamous GOP-supporting Koch brothers) said that rumors he will be supporting Hillary Clinton in the upcoming election are "blood libel." (An overdramatic term that's also anti-Semitic.)

Hillary Clinton now leads Trump by 7 points following the Democratic National Convention.

Wikileaks founder Julian Assange won't say where he got those leaked DNC emails (the Russians), but is saying there will be more to come.

A new Texas open carry law (that allows students to carry concealed weapons on campus) goes into effect today—on the anniversary of the University of Texas at Austin sniper attacks.

One aviation expert is claiming that the doomed Flight MH370 which went down in the Indian Ocean was crashed on purpose by a "rogue pilot."

A hot air balloon accident in central Texas kills 16.

JK Rowling is saying "enough is enough" for the character of Harry Potter following good reviews for her newest stage show and script.

Pokémon Go players are fucking FAH-UR-I-OUS over the company shutting down a tracking feature to locate nearby Pokémon, which also shut down third party locator apps.

Now let's look up at the WEATHER: Mostly sunny today with a high of 79!

And finally, I think you'll agree that last week's Democratic National Convention was pretty boss—but not compared to the one 20 years ago where they all did the Macarena!
