"Portland's oldest buildings just got harder to demolish," reports news editor Dirk VanderHart in this week's issue's lead news story. "But has the city been breaking state law since 2002?":

Portland musician Joel Magidmade national headlines for "apologizing" for recently sexually assaulting a woman. But it may not be the only time it happened. Portland's Erica Ordway, in a lengthy Facebook post she gave us permission to share, details an incident that happened nearly six years ago, writing:

You may not even remember me, but I sure as fuck remember you. And seeing your face plastered all over facebook and the internet the past couple of days has given me immense emotional stress. Maybe its time for you to admit there are others, maybe even countless others, you have done this too. Maybe then after my public apology I can move on, or maybe we should both find God together! A white supremacist and Donald Trump supporter repainted his "JEW LIES MATTER" sign on the back of his swastika-emblazoned truck with "TRUMP: DO THE WHITE THING,"the Oregonian reports. He wants "fair coverage" from the "jewsmedia." Get it? It's because "Jews" rhymes with "news." Fuck that guy.

Don't steal things, especially things for children at churches. The old Burgerville train was stolen from the parking lot of Faithful Savior Ministries, KATU reports.

The Portland Tribunesummarized a survey from a rental service company. "Renters like portland —except for the cost," they write.

Runner-up in Portland's mayoral election and current Multnomah County Commissioner Jules Bailey will be joining the Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative for a full-time job in January 2017. His job title will be "Chief Stewardship Officer."

NBC hosted a presidential forum with Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. And, surprise, Donald Trump is vague and evasive. Here's the New York Times on that: "Mr. Trump was withering in his attacks on her record while vague about his own, and defensive about his shifting stands on the Iraq war over the years. He repeatedly declared that he was ready to handle national security issues, without being challenged."Matt Lauer got panned for his performance last night.

And here is your daily reminder that men who tell women to smile are assholes:

The NFL regular season opens with a game between the Broncos and Panthers tonight, with the rest of the games on Sunday and Monday. To celebrate, let's take a look back to this fantastic Jacksonville Jaguars fan. She's cool:

Now go out there and take it to the limit.
