Blood and Chrome has had a somewhat troubled history: Originally intended a prequel series to the beloved and excellent Battlestar Galactica (much like Caprica, which... certainly was a TV show), it was first downgraded to a miniseries, and then to a web series, and then... I don't know. It's been like five years since it was announced; I lost track. But since Blood and Chrome is currently doing nothing but sitting on some hard drives at Syfy HQ, the channel's decided to throw it up on YouTube via Machinima, "the next-generation video entertainment network for young males,"because why the hell not because they have a plan for "a three-tiered windowing strategy incorporating online, television, and home entertainment." Blood and Chrome will start on Friday, November 9, and there'll eventually be 10 of the 7-to-12-minute-long episodes. Then Syfy will glue them together and show them on TV sometime next year. And then you will never hear about Blood and Chrome ever again, because chances are if the thing was any good at all, Syfy would've done something with it before now.
