Seems like the only time I watch anything Simpsons these days is when they do something extensively film-related (like the Herzog episode, or Guillermo del Toro's thing), which I'm totally fine with. Consuming The Simpsons in little, perfect chunks allows me to continue tricking myself into thinking the rest of the show is worth watching. Which it isn't, of course! Don't be ridiculous! But there's something so sad and defeatist about giving up on The Simpsons that I can't quite allow myself to do it.
And thus: The Simpsons takes on Kubrick, and it's fantastic. See? The Simpsons is still great, everybody!
(Obligatory note: Not exactly the first time.)
